Carolina Blues Festival -

 1:00 pm -10:00 pm – Festival Park, 200 N. Davie Street, Downtown Greensboro, NC 27401 - 

Stonefield Cellars  is the official wine vendor for the Blues Festival - Enjoy our award winning wines and "have some reds and whites with your blues!".  Tickets for the festival are available for purchase at the winery -   advance tickets are $25.  On May 3, day of show, tickets are $30 at the gate.   For other ticket locations and more information about the schedule and bios of the performers, visit www.piedmontblues.org. or call (336) 275-4944.

Friday, May 9th -     -  Soup and Sing 6:30 - 11:00 pm

This is an 'after hours' affair, starting at 6:30 pm at the winery.  Reservations for Soup and Sing are Required. 

Cost:  Covered dish item.  Wine will be available for purchase by the glass/bottle during this time.

This is a combination pot-luck dinner, open-mike, jam session, and folk gathering that harkens back to a time when there were no radios or TVs and music was what we made together, face to face, an essential part of our soul as necessary as the food that nourished our bodies.    If you are interested in attending, RSVP Natalie Wurz at 644-9908 or email nwurz@stonefieldcellars.com.  You will be given more details about the evening.

: The third annual Salute! The North Carolina Wine Celebration uncorks in the streets of Downtown Winston-Salem, with over 30 North Carolina wineries offering tastings and purchase of their harvest. Voted a "Top 20 Event in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society, this event offers a total experience that highlights the fast-growing North Carolina wine industry in a fun and festive setting. Delicious food selections, musical entertainment by "Doubletake" and "Carnivalito," and the new "North Carolina Wine University," an interactive and fun educational area will be definite crowd-pleasers.

Saturday, May 24, 2008   Mountain Mama Madness

Want to improve your fiddling technique, learn to sing harmony, expand your folk/old time/country song list, or just come out to hear great neo-traditional music?   Polecat Creek artists will be conducting fiddling and singing workshops followed by a concert at the winery.  Choose one or more of these activities - prices are a la carte.  Workshop size will be limited, so sign up now.   Deadline for workshop registration is Tuesday, 5/20th. Registration requires advance payment.  Note:  This will be a rain or shine event.    

Fiddle Workshop (led by Natalya Weinstein) - 1-2 pm   $20

Singing Workshop (led by Kari Sickenberger and Laurelyn Dossett) - 2:30 - 3:30 pm $20

Polecat Creek Concert -  4:00 - 6:00 pm    $20 advance,  $25 at door

Special Edition Mountain Mama Madness wines will be released this weekend, a wonderful fruit forward Red (Barbara) and a barrel aged Chardonnay.
